Code of Conduct
Stay48 exists to help people make better travel decisions in limited time. We welcome thoughtful discussion, disagreement, and lived experience. What we don’t welcome is behavior that derails that purpose.
By interacting with Stay48—through comments, emails, submissions, or other forms of engagement—you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
Be Reasonable
- Treat others with basic respect
- Disagree without being disagreeable
- Keep conversations relevant to travel, places, and experiences
You don’t have to agree with us—or anyone else—but you do have to act like an adult.
Not Allowed
The following behavior will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, threats, or personal attacks
- Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
- Spam, self-promotion, or link dumping
- Trolling, bad-faith arguments, or intentional disruption
- Impersonation or misrepresentation
- Posting private or personal information without consent
If your goal is to provoke rather than contribute, you’re in the wrong place.
Moderation
Stay48 reserves the right to:
- Remove comments or content at our discretion
- Restrict or block users who violate this Code
- Decline or edit submissions for clarity, relevance, or tone
We are not obligated to provide warnings, explanations, or second chances.
This is not a public utility. It’s our site.
Submissions & Contributions
If you submit content to Stay48 (comments, tips, recommendations, photos, etc.), you confirm that:
- You own the rights to what you submit, or have permission to share it
- Your submission does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- You grant Stay48 a non-exclusive right to display, edit, or remove the content
We appreciate good contributions. We are under no obligation to publish them.
Final Word
Stay48 is curated by design. That includes the conversation around it.
If something doesn’t meet the standard, it won’t stay up.
